Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic professional to join their team as a Senior Technical Engineer/Officer (Electrical and I&C). The successful candidate will provide technical expertise related to Electrical and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineering support for customized engineered inspection and maintenance tooling, and associated plant/station modification projects.
Requirements
- 4-year University Degree in Engineering, with preference given to Electrical and I & C (E/I&C)
- Minimum 6 years of related experience, including electrical design engineering
- Experience with power distribution and protection (LV/MV), control panels, instrumentation loops, and PLC-based systems
- Strong technical writing and ability to produce high-quality engineering deliverables under ECC
- Eligible to obtain nuclear site security clearance
- Experience working with CSA electrical standards and Ontario Electrical Safety Code is an asset
- Experience with real-time process control (RTPC) software/systems and/or SESA (scientific, engineering & safety analysis) applications to support engineering deliverables, implementation support, and troubleshooting is an asset
- Experience supporting work in a nuclear generating station environment (asset) and/or regulated industrial environment
- Candidate must be a fully licensed engineer in the province of Ontario, or be eligible to be licensed in the Province of Ontario
