Oodle is seeking an Engineering Manager for Pre-Funding to lead and manage a team of software engineers. The role involves planning a realistic roadmap, leading a high-performing culture, and ensuring the team adheres to best practices in software development. The ideal candidate has experience leading and line-managing a team, hands-on software engineering experience, and experience with cloud technologies (ideally AWS).
Requirements
- Collaborate with product management to plan a realistic roadmap
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams; creating a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Support the professional growth of team members by having regular developmental conversations with them
- Own the architecture across the team and drive architectural alignment
- Manage the delicate balance between the need to deliver business value with the need to continuously improve the architecture and reduce tech debt
- Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, including continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools to improve code quality and shift-left on testing, security, monitoring and deployment
- Provide guidance on complex technical issues and assist with problem-solving
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes and tools
