OR Software Engineer

Optimal Dynamics is seeking an OR Software Engineer to join their OR/AI team. The ideal candidate will have experience in object-oriented programming and optimization/operations research, and be passionate about building large-scale optimization software with automated testing, the highest levels of code/data quality, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering, OR BS in one of these fields and two+ years of industry experience
• Significant experience with an object-oriented programming language (Java, C/#/++, etc.) and software design, including hands-on Python coding experience
• Background classwork or experience in optimization, probability, and statistics
• Some background in machine learning or artificial intelligence
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and find resolutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Understanding of how to use AI-assisted coding tools to supercharge productivity
