Job Description
This role involves managing financial records and ensuring accurate reporting for a property portfolio using AppFolio software. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial activities, prepare financial reports, and analyze data. Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with property accounting software is required. The position is fully remote and requires 8:30 am - 5 pm PST schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or retail property management accounting (REQUIRED)
- Strong knowledge of CAM reconciliations and audits (REQUIRED)
- Experience with due diligence projects and property acquisitions/dispositions (REQUIRED)
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and forensic accounting (REQUIRED)
- Experience with new property and lease set-up in accounting systems (Required)
- Excellent understanding of lease interpretation and its financial implications (Required)
- Strong communication and organizational skills (Required)
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with property accounting software (Appfolio REQUIRED)
