Network Engineer - Low Latency

Optiver is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their team responsible for owning the networks that their proprietary trading systems rely on, providing technical expertise to enable a high frequency trading floor and designing and implementing network optimizations.

Requirements

• Passionate about network performance, monitoring & capacity planning
• Confident with a variety of network monitoring and alerting tools
• Experience with LAN and WAN technologies
• In depth experience with network transport & routing protocols (TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast)
• Comfortable working in a multi-vendor environment (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto)
• Experience with network security and firewalls
• Confident in Python scripting for automation or have an evidenced interest in developing this area
• Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues across Trading and other business areas
