Data Center Site Lead, JoinOCI

Data Center Site Lead responsible for leading performance analyses, implementing enhancements, and driving process improvements in one or more data centers. Oversees new region builds and expansions, manages escalated technical issues, and utilizes automation and monitoring tools to mitigate risks.

Requirements

• 3-5 years working in an IT environment
• Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware systems and components
• Knowledge of critical data center infrastructure power and cooling
• Excellent time management skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Strong interest in learning new DC concepts and technology
• Dependable and trustworthy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience assisting on-call technicians and ability to respond to critical events as needed
• IT Hardware Concepts knowledge (RAID, Linux/Unix, CLI, etc.)
• Network connectivity concept knowledge (Layer1 connectivity within the DC)
• 2-year or 4-year degree or relevant work experience
• 4+ years of enterprise data center experience
• Linux administration knowledge or other command line interface knowledge/experience
• 2 year+ experience in Structured Cabling Copper/Fiber and testing of cables
• 2 year+ experience in Cooling and Electrical systems concepts inside the data center
• Experience in repairing and working on enterprise server hardware
