Job Description
Origin Bank seeks a Commercial Underwriter to analyze credit data, estimate risk, and extend credit or lending money to firms or individuals. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5-8 years of credit analysis experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Requirements
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests
- Keep up to date with the company's lending protocols
- Manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment
- Research skills
- Strong problem-solving, mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with computers and computer software
- Proficiency with financial reports and statements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
- Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts
