Job Description
Origin is building general-purpose autonomous robots for US construction and is looking for a Lead AI Engineer to join their AI Research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and innovating diffusion-based generative models and vision-language models to be used in real-time systems on construction sites.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in deep-learning R&D or Ph.D./M.S. in CS, EE, Robotics or related field with a strong publication record
- Demonstrated expertise in diffusion models and multimodal transformers
- Proven success building large-scale data-centric AI workflows
- Advanced proficiency in Python, PyTorch, experiment tracking and scalable training
- Familiarity with edge-AI runtimes and CUDA/C++ performance tuning
- Strong mathematical foundation and ability to translate theory into production code
