Senior Engineer - Embedded Software and Controls

Origin is building general-purpose autonomous robots for US construction to tackle rising costs, safety risks, and labor shortages. As a Senior Embedded Software and Controls Engineer, you will take full ownership of critical subsystems within the robot's control architecture.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in embedded software or robotics.
• Proficiency in embedded programming (C/C++) and firmware development.
• Deep understanding of RTOS concepts (scheduling, priority inversion, memory management) and Linux kernel fundamentals.
• Strong background in Control Theory
• Hands-on experience with ROS 2 (lifecycle nodes, executors, custom interfaces).
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, CANopen, Ethernet/TCP/UDP).
• Development Experience on NVIDIA Jetson Series SBCs for Robotics
• Low-Level Kernel Development
