Job Description
Orla Mining is seeking a Senior Geologist, Geological Modelling & Mineral Resources to develop, maintain, and review geological models, exploration drill program planning, and support mineral resources updates. The role will involve building and updating rock type, structure, alteration, and mineralization domain models, integrating new drill results, and identifying risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years working in the mining industry and in international roles in geological modelling and/or mineral resource estimation
- Proven modelling experience for different types of deposits
- Good knowledge of QAQC principles
- 5+ years of experience running mineral resource interpolations
- Excellent data interpretation, targeting, QAQC, and GIS skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels and manage multiple tasks
- Capability to travel to sites in Canada, US, Mexico and elsewhere as required
- Proficiency using exploration and mining software
- Member of the Association of a Professional accreditable body
