Job Description
The Orthodox Union is seeking a Director of Governance and Leadership to lead and execute high-level donor and leadership engagement strategies to enhance philanthropic impact. This role involves overseeing Board and Executive Committee coordination, managing direct reports, and ensuring strategic communication to cultivate strong relationships with significant supporters. The successful candidate will have experience in nonprofit governance, donor relations, and program management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in donor relations, stewardship, or Board governance within a nonprofit setting.
- Exceptional relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit governance, Board development, and major gift stewardship best practices.
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
- Proficiency in donor management and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong organizational skills.
