Job Description
Performs para-professional educational work in planning, preparing, and implementing a WELA Program for young children and their families. Assists the lead teacher in a cooperative and professional manner.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field preferred or actively working on Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field
- 1 year experience in child care atmosphere or similar preschool educational institution required
- Certificate of Mastery (COM) certification required within twelve (12) months
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Food-handlers permit within two weeks required
- Current CPR and First Aid certificate (pediatric/to Adult) required
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Oklahoma School Bus Driver's license (OSBDL) preferred
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to stoop, bend and lift on a daily basis
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem- solving skills
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
