Controller (Temporary)

The Osborne Association seeks a temporary full-time Controller to support their Fiscal and Accounting function. The Controller will facilitate the organization's accounting and administrative functions, oversee accounts payable, investments, and monthly close, and supervise a team of accounting staff. This is a temporary six-month position that may be extended or concluded earlier than anticipated based on departmental needs.

Requirements

• Directs all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, account analysis
• Supports the Vice President of Finance in formulating, recommending and implementing sound fiscal and administrative policies, procedures and controls
• Manages accounts payable, ensuring entries are coded correctly, with clear descriptions, and booked to the proper periods
• Supervises the Accounting Manager, who runs the monthly close process
• Oversees all accounts and ledgers, ensuring financial reporting follows GAAP accrual standards, meets regulatory requirements, and is completed accurately and efficiently
