Job Description
We have an opening for a Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team in the HRM. This role is responsible for all repairs on plant equipment, working at several different locations in the Halifax Regional Municipality with some travel to other locations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
Requirements
- Five (5) years' related work experience demonstrating thorough knowledge and abilities for operating, troubleshooting and maintaining plant equipment
- Mechanically inclined with working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and boiler systems
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Must be willing and able to work long shifts and extra hours when necessary
- Basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, welding, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication skills
- Previous experience in a ready mix and/or construction industry would be considered an asset
- Interest and ability in working both independently and as a team
- Strong critical thinking / problem-solving skills
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation
