Job Description
The Welding Technician is responsible for fabricating, joining, and repairing metal components, equipment, and structures using various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding. This role performs welds in all positions in accordance with specifications and company or customer requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent Technical / vocational / or military training / related experience
- Welding Certification is Required
- Two (2) or more years weld experience with at least one (1) years of experience in general maintenance
- Knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, Stick - aluminum and stainless steel is a plus
- Ability to comprehend all blueprints and schematics
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting
- Proficient in all key weldments
- Ability to use personal computer or workstation
- Demonstrate ability to use all appropriate tools, measuring devices, forklifts, cranes, and fixtures required
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate personnel assignments within the department
