Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our engineering team, developing marine navigation and bridge systems for government and naval markets. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in system design, development, and integration, and provide technical leadership on projects.
Requirements
- Assist senior engineers in developing design concepts
- Develop system designs, perform functional analysis, and define systems architecture
- Perform requirement analysis, traceability, and maintenance of requirements
- Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system
- Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies
- Develop and recommend corrective actions
- Design to government standards, including Military and IMO standards
- Ensure availability, reliability, and other logistics support considerations are part of the system design process
- Review obsolescence issues and recommend design changes
- Attend and participate in customer design reviews and acceptance events
- Manage scope of work, schedules work, estimates effort and costs, and identifies technical risks
- Communicate status on a regular basis to management
