Associate Engineer, Mechanical Systems Design

Otto Aerospace is seeking a dynamic engineer to support the design, development, and integration of Mechanical Systems, including Interior Furnishings & Equipment, for the world’s first fifth-generation business jet.

Requirements

• Design, develop, and integrate mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, performance standards, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct trade studies for optimized form, fit, and function of mechanical systems
• Support generation of Interface Control Documentation (3D and 2D models)
• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, incorporating structural, thermal, environmental and ergonomic requirements
• Collaborate with industrial design, stress, certification, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to define and validate interfaces with adjacent systems and structures
• Create both experimental and production digital product definition for components, assemblies, and installations
• Produce bill of materials and assist in manufacturing assembly instructions
