Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Completion of Washington State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission approved pharmacy technician training program
• Licensure by the Washington State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission required
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
• USP 797 and clean room training required to compound sterile products
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification
• One-year experience in a hospital pharmacy setting recommended
• Sterile compounding and non-sterile compounding training recommended
• Prior use of automated dispensing systems recommended
