Job Description
Serves as the coordinator of all medical care and test referrals for site, scheduling appointments and ensuring patient compliance with referrals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- AA or BA preferred.
- Minimum of one year working experience in an outpatient physician clinic.
- Experience working with the referral/authorization process preferred.
- Strong analytical and computer skills required.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work with physicians, patients, and staff.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Knowledge of managed care preauthorization procedures preferred.
