Job Description
Owais Construction Group is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Lead Construction Inspector to manage and oversee the daily inspection and coordination of the City’s Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs). This role involves reviewing project plans, ensuring compliance, enforcing safety standards, and preparing accurate inspection reports. The Inspector will work closely with various city departments and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality.
Requirements
- Review project plans and specifications.
- Attend project-related and community meetings.
- Maintain detailed project files in line with the Local Assistance Procedures Manual and City protocols.
- Conduct field observations and inspections of daily construction activities.
- Monitor compliance with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
- Track contractor schedules and assist in identifying delays or issues.
- Evaluate and recommend actions on contract change orders.
- Maintain an up-to-date set of construction drawings and specifications on-site.
- Coordinate with City engineers, utility companies, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in public outreach efforts before and during construction phases.
