Maintenance 1

Owens Corning is seeking a Maintenance 1 to perform maintenance functions, including hazard assessments, hoisting and rigging, and equipment rebuilds. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of safe work practices and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright or Journeyman Millwright 1st ticket or Journeyman Welder as a 2nd ticket
• Minimum of three to 5 years experience as a Maintenance Millwright in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
• Strong working knowledge on safe work practices (such as lock-tag-try, fall protection, and hazard assessments)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision independently or as part of a team
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
