Sr Maintenance Planner

Role Overview

The Sr Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning maintenance work using prior mechanical/electrical experience, process and equipment knowledge, and SAP. They prioritize work requests, specify parts, and complete proper job plans for the maintenance department. The planner ensures BOM accuracy and helps improve asset preventative maintenance plans.

What You Will Do

The Sr Maintenance Planner will live and adhere to the Safety Culture of Zero Accidents, work collaboratively with Operations, Stores, Engineering, and other teams, and oversee contractors and support foremen and maintenance techs during downtime. They will utilize and update plant blueprints, drawings, and instructional manuals, and look for opportunities to improve efficiency in the planning process.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The Sr Maintenance Planner must be familiar with a CMMS (SAP preferred), have strong communications skills, and demonstrate creativity and problem-solving ability. They must also have excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent attendance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance experience
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Perform basic arithmetic – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions
• Able to read blue prints, equipment schematics, and parts breakdowns
• Able to use manuals, computer searches, and/or vendor contacts to research parts, materials and tools
• Able to use full range of measurement tools, including but not limited to: tape measure, caliper, micrometer, pi tape, etc.
• Must be legally able to work in the United States
