The Information Technology Applications and Support provides effective support for all County hardware assets and software. The position requires a high level of support and system administration for multijurisdictional records and dispatch software. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with command staff and available for limited 24/7 support after normal office hours for law enforcement and County nursing home.
Requirements
- Two-year degree from accredited business/technical/trade college in electronics or related field preferred.
- Five years’ experience in IT preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of setup and support of personal computers.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server as well as SQL.
- Knowledge of software interfaces.
- Experience with security camera systems and other recording devices.
- Experience in supporting mobile users.
- Ability to communicate clearly to the end user.
- Ability to stay calm in high-pressure time sensitive situations.
- Ability to be outgoing and personable.
- Skills in time management and workload management.
- Skills in customer service.
- Advanced computer troubleshooting, analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
- Knowledge and understanding of computer and system programming capabilities and techniques and web development.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology
- Good organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to work effectively with managers, staff, consultants, and representatives from other districts.
