As an Automation Technician II or III, this position is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and controls aspects of production machinery. Work will be done in compliance with current regulatory guidelines, national, state and local laws, company policies and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Tech degree or related training (ex. Associate’s degree, military training, etc.)
- Two or more (2+) years of experience for Level II, four or more (4+) years of experience for Level III
- Solid background in equipment repair with the ability to perform installation, alteration and repair of machinery and components
- Basic fabrication knowledge: tig weld, mill, lathe, hand tools and threading
- Intermediate AC/DC and 3 phase electrical understanding
- Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- PLC, VFD and basic automation programming knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and work from Blueprints and schematics
- Good math and reading comprehension skills and be able to read, speak and comprehend instructions in English or language of country as applicable
