The IT Project Manager will manage the migration of on-premises Mainframe systems to the state Cloud Services environment. The position is accountable to the PM Officer, the Departments Chief Architect, and the supported system and business owners.
Requirements
- Manage all project tasks necessary to migrated mainframe applications to the AWS Cloud
- Provide project management consultation for all aspects of the project
- Work closely with the resource manager, vendor, business analysts, and subject matter experts on the various system support teams
- Manage schedules, risks, issues and interdependencies with understanding of on premise and cloud technologies
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
- Monitor performance and reports to management project status and pertinent issues, including major milestones and potential project risks
- Provide continuing direction to the project team, conducts status meetings, assesses proposed changes in scope, and recommends courses of action to project sponsors
- Promote and support Project Management Office policies and processes
