Job Description
The Civil Estimator prepares accurate cost estimates for civil projects, ensuring bidding and determining product/service prices. The role involves budgeting, overseeing the estimating and bidding process, and working closely with management to maintain company policies. Tasks include creating bid sheets, soliciting proposals, and reviewing subcontractor performance.
Requirements
- Estimate all costs of civil projects, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and transportation.
- Collect, classify, and analyze historical data for accurate cost estimation.
- Read blueprints or architectural drawings to determine resources.
- Prepare bid sheets and solicit subcontractors/suppliers.
- Review quotes and prepare wrap-up packages.
- Assist with budget preparation.
- Pass a hair follicle drug test.
