Legal Manager

PalmPay is seeking a Legal Manager to drive growth through mobile installment solutions in partnership with leading device brands. The role will be responsible for managing legal risks, drafting contracts, and providing day-to-day legal advice to product, operations, and marketing teams.

Requirements

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate various commercial contracts and legal documents
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to product, operations, marketing, risk, collection, and other departments
• Manage all legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration cases involving the company
• Identify and prevent legal risks, track latest laws and regulations, and issue legal risk alerts
• Manage trademark registration, maintenance, and enforcement, and handle potential trademark or copyright disputes
• Select and supervise external law firms, and provide regular legal training to business and operations teams
• Perform statutory duties as Data Protection Officer (DPO) under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173)
• Monitor compliance with the Data Privacy Act, its IRR, and relevant NPC circulars, and develop and update the company's data privacy manual and policies
• Establish and maintain a contract template library, and optimize contract approval processes
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and review Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with third parties
• Organize regular data privacy training for employees, and serve as the company's primary point of contact with the National Privacy Commission (NPC)
