Engineering Manager - Merchant Experience / Gestionnaire, Ingénierie

Paramount Commerce is a fintech company seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Merchant Experience engineering team in building robust, scalable, and intuitive systems that enhance the experience and engagement of merchants. The role involves leading a high-performing team, partnering with Product Management and other Engineering domains, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Golang
• 3+ years leading engineering teams
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance
• Experience designing and operating microservices, with a strong grasp of Event Sourcing
• Comfortable working in Kubernetes and modern cloud environments (AWS / GCP)
• Experience partnering closely with Product to own a domain end-to-end
• Hands-on when it matters, guiding design and architecture without micromanaging
• Strong judgment around trade-offs, balancing innovation with proven approaches
