Sr Data Engineer

The Sr Data Engineer role is responsible for building and maintaining optimized, highly available data pipelines to enable deeper analysis and reporting. The engineer will lead the requirements gathering, design, and architecture of scalable data solutions, and mentor data engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Python and SQL programming
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working in data warehousing or data engineering environments
• 3+ years of experience developing data solutions on GCP, AWS, or OCI
• Experience in the ingestion of data from external APIs and data stores
• Experience in design, build, and operationalization of big data pipelines on Cloud Technologies
• Strong experience in authoring, scheduling, and monitoring workflows (Apache Airflow-related technologies)
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or Google Composer
• Experience in BigQuery and Dataflow
• Familiar with REST API concepts and asynchronous patterns
• Values software correctness and is enthusiastic about automated testing
• Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality, and ability to execute
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
