At Park Nicollet, we believe in the power of good and welcome a team member to prepare and operate radiographic equipment for angiographic and interventional procedures. The role supports patient preparation, image processing, and quality control, and intra-procedural technical functions.
Requirements
- Prepare patients, procedure rooms, and sterile trays
- Process images and perform quality control checks on cine and radiographic studies
- Apply knowledge of radiation safety standards, protection principles, and emergency procedures
- Scrub in and assist physicians during procedures
- Set up, manipulate, and operate radiographic equipment using appropriate techniques to achieve optimal image quality in accordance with established protocols
- Operate procedural controls to position the radiographic table and C-arm, ensuring all relevant anatomy is visualized on fluoroscopic monitors and final images
- Assist physicians in obtaining optimal projections
- Operate and support additional intra-procedural equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring systems, pacemakers, cardiac output devices, and related technologies
- Stock supplies and maintain equipment
- Perform basic clerical and administrative functions in support of department operations
- Provide care appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patient populations served, in accordance with departmental standards, policies, and procedures
