Civil Engineering Intern

Parsons is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering (Transportation) Intern to join their Centreville office for Summer 2026. In this role, you will contribute to large-scale engineering projects and gain practical experience in areas such as highway and roadway design, bridge structures, transportation planning, traffic simulations, signal design, critical infrastructure, drainage, and traffic control during construction.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in mechanical engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Prior transportation or infrastructure engineering internship experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
• Eager to learn, self-motivated, and flexible
• Excellent organizational and management skills
• Working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation is a plus
