Parsons is seeking an Environmental Project Specialist to work on environmental remediation programs, project management, and coordination for public and private sector clients. The role involves supervising subcontractors, overseeing health and safety, collecting environmental samples, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in earth sciences or a related field and 2+ years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in earth sciences, environmental technology and engineering applications, engineering or similar programs
- 2+ years of applicable field experience as a field technician supporting environmental assessment / remediation and/or infrastructure redevelopment projects
- Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Process oriented and ability to operate self-sufficiently and safely in the field
- Track record of delivering high quality work products and attention to detail
- Familiarity and understanding of key Ontario regulation (O.Reg. 153/04, 406/19, and 347) related to Brownfield development, excess soils and waste
