PSG is an agile consulting firm seeking a Systems Engineer / Systems Architect to provide data analytics, data management, and data architecture support. The ideal candidate will have experience with database standards, end user applications, and programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, and XML. The role involves designing, developing, and evaluating end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products, as well as working with clients to understand their business needs and design solutions to complex technical engineering and applications problems.
Requirements
- Applicable degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Database Administration, Geographic Information Systems, Information Security, Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Network Administration, Software Development, Technical Writing, or Web Design & Development
- Minimum 5 years of working knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
- Minimum 5 years of working knowledge of database design, data modeling, and data mining techniques, query creation and report generation, documentation, coding, DBA case tools (frontend/backend) with third party tools, and programming languages API
- Minimum 5 years of working knowledge of statistical packages for analyzing large datasets
- Ability to effectively establish and execute strategic and critical task priorities to demonstrate problem-solving skills, and to think algorithmically
- Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL preferred), and some programming (JavaScript, XML, or ETL frameworks)
- Ability to understand U.S. Federal Government business needs, with strong analytical and organizational skills
