Principal Data Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the design and development of our inventory data pipelines. At Pattern, we manage inventory at massive scale, and high-quality inventory data is foundational to how we plan, move, and optimize product placement across our network—ensuring the right inventory is in the right place, exactly when it’s needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience
• Expertise in SQL, Spark, Airflow, and ETL pipelines
• Knowledge of data engineering best practices
• Really strong communication skills, including the ability to break down technical concepts for stakeholders and technical guidance for other engineers
