Job Description
A Screed Operator is a skilled construction professional responsible for operating the screed component of an asphalt paving machine to ensure asphalt is placed at the proper thickness, grade, and smooth finish.
Requirements
- Operate the screed on an asphalt paving machine
- Control asphalt thickness, smoothness, and grade
- Work with the paving crew to keep projects on schedule
- Help maintain equipment and keep it in good working condition
- Assist with other equipment or general labor when needed
