Electrician

We are seeking an Electrician to join our team at our Shoal Creek Mine in Alabama. The Electrician will perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs of underground mining equipment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, current MSHA electrical certification, and one year of underground mining experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current MSHA electrical certification
• One year of underground mining experience
• Knowledge of State and Federal mining regulations
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Operating, repairing, and troubleshooting skills on section and outby equipment
• High safety standards for self and others
• Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends and holidays
• Ability to troubleshoot from blueprints and service manuals
• Vision and hearing requirements to fulfill a safety sensitive role
