Job Description
Peak Energy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Energy Storage Systems (ESS) team. The role involves designing and implementing mechanical enclosures and components for their sodium-ion energy storage systems, focusing on design direction, implementation, and collaboration with various engineering teams. The position requires hands-on work, autonomy, and a passion for renewable energy.
Requirements
- Design ownership of ESS mechanical enclosures
- Define product design direction through exploratory design
- Focus on mechanical enclosures, environmental seals, and heat sinks
- Develop and manage sub-system and component requirements
- Interface with partners for informed design decisions
- Drive rapid prototyping and testing
- Ensure smooth product-to-mass production transition
