Backend Engineer, Penn Game Studios

PENN Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Backend Engineer for Penn Game Studios to work on cutting-edge remote gaming systems, writing best-in-class code for game and platform servers, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with standard back end technologies (such as SQL, Key-Value Caching, HTTP)
• Practical knowledge of scalable server architectures
• Practical knowledge of threads, microservices, and distributed locking
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to solve technical problems with practical constraints
• Experience with Go, Docker, and / or Kubernetes
• Experience with Rust, C++, C#, Java, Python, Objective-C, Smalltalk or similar
• Understanding of statistics and probability
