Job Description
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Electrochemical Engine Center to research the safety of lithium-ion batteries.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields by the start date
- Strong prior experience in lithium battery research
- Strong skills in electrochemistry, thermodynamics, and reaction kinetics
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work independently to solve critical problems
