Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Structural Engineering

The College of Engineering at Penn State University is seeking two tenure-track faculty members in structural engineering with a focus on experimental structural mechanics and the ability to develop successful research programs. The positions will have joint appointments within the Departments of Architectural Engineering and Civil and Environmental Engineering, with teaching and service responsibilities in their home department.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in civil, architectural, or closely related fields in engineering by the start of the appointment
• Demonstrated ability as a researcher and evidence of growth in scholarly or professional achievement (Assistant Professor level)
• Established reputation in teaching as well as scholarly and professional achievement (Associate Professor level)
• Ability to build successful collaborations within both departments
