Job Description
The Penobscot Bay YMCA is seeking a Childcare Director to lead its new childcare program at South School in Rockland, ME. This role oversees daily operations, supervises staff, and builds strong relationships with families.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- 1–2+ years of experience in childcare, education, or a related setting
- Leadership experience or demonstrated interest in team development
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and classroom practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
