Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Manufacturing and Technical Services to create new rubber compounds and manage development with rubber compounders and outsole factories. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemical engineering or material science and 10+ years of experience in the footwear industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical engineering, material science, or other technical degree
- 10+ years experience working in the footwear industry, rubber compounding industry, or other similar field
- Experience with rubber compounding, outsole compounding, production, and physical testing of rubber
- Demonstrated expertise in managing a product development project from conception to commercialization
- Excellent communication skills when working with factory and brand partners
- Passion for sustainable product development
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Mandarin
