EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST, SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT

The Employment Specialist is responsible for job development, job site skill training, task analysis, and ongoing advocacy and career development for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• Establish relationships with employers and community partners
• Complete initial Supported Employment training and annual requirements
• Maintain weekly service delivery standard
• Provide training in skill areas and ongoing feedback
• Communicate with family members and businesses
• Demonstrate teamwork and good communication skills
• Schedule support visits and submit documentation
• Attend staff meetings and life plan meetings
• Maintain a flexible schedule and use own vehicle
• Comply with agency policies and procedures
