Pepperstone is a global fintech company seeking a Head of Product Engineering to lead their global technology evolution. The role requires 7-10 years of experience in senior engineering leadership roles, ideally within financial services, fintech, or online trading environments.
Requirements
- Define and evolve the engineering delivery approach to support Pepperstone’s strategic objectives, in close partnership with the CTO.
- Oversee engineering across core product streams, including website, onboarding, payments, and account management, ensuring platforms are highly available, performant, and secure.
- Drive execution of transformation initiatives, ensuring effective prioritisation, resource optimisation, and budget stewardship.
- Build, lead, and retain a high-performing global engineering organisation, providing strong mentorship and performance leadership.
- Continuously mature the engineering function by improving efficiency, transparency, reporting, and delivery processes.
- Set and uphold engineering standards covering quality, security-by-design, documentation, and testing practices.
- Champion reliability engineering practices and partner with broader Technology teams to enhance resilience, observability, and incident response.
- Balance feature delivery with technical debt, BAU, and unplanned work to maintain healthy and sustainable engineering capacity.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Cloud, Security, and Data leaders to ensure cohesive, enterprise-wide technology outcomes.
- Oversee technical vendor relationships and evaluate external technology solutions where appropriate.
- Manage engineering budgets, licensing, and workforce planning.
