Role Overview

Peraton is seeking a COBOL/IDMS Software Programmer/Developer to develop and maintain applications written using COBOL, IDMS, and JCL for IBM mainframe operating systems. The role involves creating software across multiple functional areas and products, prioritizing and allocating projects, and participating in strategic decisions about technology.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain applications written using COBOL, IDMS, and JCL for IBM mainframe operating systems. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization. Direct software development projects to ensure timely completion and quality standards.

Requirements

• 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS Diploma
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have an active Public Trust
• Experience with specifications for software requirement changes
• Experience with design, development of software systems
• Strong experience with COBOL in a mainframe environment
• Experience with IDMS (Integrated Database Management System)
• ADSO (Application Development System Online) experience
