Job description
Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer to design and plan network communications systems, provide documentation, and conduct testing. The role involves monitoring network hardware operations, planning enhancements and upgrades, and advising network users. The Network Engineer will maintain technical expertise in network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.
Design and plan network communications systems, conduct testing, monitor network hardware operations, plan enhancements and upgrades, advise network users, troubleshoot network issues, and use change management processes to ensure modifications to network configs are approved prior to implementation.
The ideal candidate will have experience with routing protocols, code upgrades, incident management, and network security requirements. They will also be familiar with Department of Defense network security requirements and be able to engineer, configure, and operate enterprise security appliances.
