Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview

Peraton is seeking a self-driven and resourceful Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic Network and Unified Communications Architecture team in Washington, DC. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will provide expert-level technical assistance for complex and critical system issues, focusing on Tier III support for in-depth analysis, root cause investigation, and the development of permanent solutions.

What You Will Do

Create/modify network drawings, author system engineering documents and plans, support design, test, and pre-deployment readiness reviews, support the network operations of the Production system, and develop, implement, and manage network engineering processes.

Requirements

• Active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Ability to work shift schedule (Panama) supporting 24/7 operations
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or similar technical field) and eight (8) years relevant experience
• Current/valid CCNP-Enterprise Infrastructure certification
• Experience with the design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure solutions for routing and switching of complex networks
• Experience and understanding of networking fundamentals such as network protocols and common services (e.g., DNS, FTP, SSH, SNMP)
• Implementation and troubleshooting experience of networks using concepts/protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs and emerging concepts such as Software Defined Networking
• Prior experience supporting a government and/or Department of Defense customer

• Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000
