Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Engineer, Senior to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. The role involves designing, deploying, and sustaining enterprise network infrastructure, executing WAN and LAN upgrades, and monitoring network health.

What You Will Do

Design, deploy, and sustain enterprise network infrastructure, execute WAN and LAN upgrades, monitor network health, detect incidents/performance degradations, and perform timely troubleshooting and restoration.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience
• BS/BA degree
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant DoD/military training
• Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience
• Network engineering/operations experience with at least 3 years in enterprise network design and sustainment roles
• Deep hands-on expertise in routing/switching, WAN/LAN design, VPNs, firewall and load-balancer configuration, and circuit provisioning
• Proven ability to perform network troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and JRSS/integration support
• Experience producing engineering designs, BOMs, site readiness assessments, and technical documentation for governance and audits
• Proficiency with network monitoring, configuration management, and automation/orchestration tools; strong scripting ability preferred
