Network Engineer, Journeyman

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Network Engineer, Journeyman to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. The role involves designing, deploying, and sustaining enterprise network infrastructure, executing WAN and LAN upgrades, and monitoring network devices.

Design, deploy, and sustain enterprise network infrastructure, execute WAN and LAN upgrades, monitor network devices, and perform troubleshooting and restoration.

Requirements

• 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS Diploma/equivalent
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR
• Relevant DoD/military training (example: Research & Development Specialist (Intermediate) Playlist); OR
• Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (example: CompTIA Security+)
• Network engineering, NOC, or systems administration experience supporting enterprise networks
• Practical hands‐on experience with routing/switching, firewall/VPN configuration, load balancing, and circuit provisioning
• Proficiency with network monitoring/observability tools, vulnerability scanning basics, and ticketing/configuration management systems
• Ability to perform network troubleshooting, document root‐cause analysis, and produce operational runbooks and change records
• Strong communication and coordination skills for cross‐team engineering and fielding activities

Benefits

• Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000
• Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus
