The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive public areas of the property while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.
Requirements
- Use strong customer service and communication skills in all interactions with guests and team members.
- Clean and organize the hotel property daily, including guest rooms and public areas, by collecting trash, soiled linens, and other items.
- Prepare guest rooms after checkout by removing waste, handling soiled items, and separating materials for proper pickup.
- Deliver requested items (e.g., towels, cribs, cots) to guest rooms in a timely and friendly manner.
- Maintain and restock supplies in guest rooms, public areas, and storerooms; assist housekeeping or perform room attendant duties as needed.
- Report missing or found items, damage, and maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, including restrooms (checked regularly), floors, windows, glass, doors, furniture, elevators, and fixtures; perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal.
- Follow all safety and security procedures, conduct routine inspections, and support risk management practices.
- Assist guests and team members as needed.
